Updates December 2011

Posted on December 10, 2011 at 5:30 PM Comments comments (0)

A lot has happened since I last posted here on my website. To start, I have released two new covers (one in October and one in November). These are English versions of Let Me Be With You originally by Round Table ft. Nino (better known as the theme to the anime series, Chobits) and I=Fantasy (Short Version) by the first Korean vocaloid ever made, SeeU.

You may notice that Let Me Be With You was posted on a different channel than usual. I did this because it is part of the grey area between my voice over and singing work. In one way, it is a cover, like the others I have done. On the other hand, it is the opening theme to an anime series and the visual element of my video is the opening video of that anime. That also classifies it as a Fandub, which by the logic of my music and voice acting channel split, would belong on the same channel as the rest of my Fandub works.

Due to this grey area, I put it on my khcrazy10 channel rather than kayla20000, although the video is included in a playlist of my covers on my music channel. I=Fantasy was placed on my normal channel for musical works.

The other big thing that's I'd like to mention is that there have been some updates to the site and I will rarely be posting updates in the news section here on my website. I have recently gotten back into writing on my Voice Acting Blog on Blogger and have included some of my music updates there. To avoid confusion, I no longer wish to split the distribution of news up with Voice Acting and Singing. They are both a part of me and I am sure many of you follow both types of my work. Because of this, I have introduced a link to my blog in the navigation bar at the top of my site. You may find updates there, unless it is something that directly concerns this website or is important enough to have posted here.

Another update to the site include the addition of a mobile website. Unfortunately I have not worked out an auto-redirect system as many phones are different and the webpage may respond to an iPhone for instance but not an Android or Blackberry. You can, however, access the mobile version of the site by scanning the barcode on the mobile tab of the desktop site when you are near a computer (take it with you when you walk away from the computer) or visit http://tarastmichel.webs.com/mobile/ on your smartphone. Please note that the graphics may not display correctly on non smartphone devices. For iPads and tablets, please use the desktop version as it is much nicer to work with.

The last addition to the site is the incorporation of both a Google 1+ button and a Tweet button in the sidebar. If you would like to share my website with your followers and friends on Twitter or Google+, please make use of these buttons to automatically add the link to your profile/post a tweet with the link.

Before I end this post, I would like to say that I have many things planned for you guys, but they may not always go smoothly due to me being in college/university now. I shall try to work with whatever free time I am given to make new music and voice overs.

Next planned is a new christmas cover. I haven't done one since 2009 so this should be fun. You can check out my 2009 cover until I can record my 2011 one at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cw8fer2MYE8

That is pretty much all for now!

Happy Holidays!

And to fellow college students around the world, good luck with your finals!

Updates July 2011

Posted on July 18, 2011 at 5:24 PM Comments comments (0)

Ok so I haven't been around since 2009 on youtube and such, I've tweeted the odd tweet and updated my status on facebook now and then. "Now what? Has her music died?" you wonder.

Well, the good news is I'm not dead, and neither is my music. With my most recent video on YouTube, I have posted a direction I am going with publishing music videos. You can find the video here:

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this content.

I will be uploading some new videos in the weeks to come, so I encourage you to check them out when they are uploaded. All new videos will be added to my website's home page and the videos page.

Remember to subscribe to my videos on YouTube if you like what you see. When you click Videos on the navigation bar at the top of my website, you will automatically be prompted with a message asking if you want to subscribe. Hit cancel to watch the videos on my page and OK to go to a page where you can subscribe to my videos. Don't forget to check out my youtube channel, as well, at http://www.youtube.com/kayla20000.

See u there :P

So, as you can see in the sidebar. I now have 26 fans. This makes me eligible for the custom link (username). I'd just like to say that I would not have been able to exceed the requirement for a page username of at least 25 likes without you.

Thanks guys!

My new facebook link is: http://www.facebook.com/tarastmichel

In A Second is on the Myspace Music Daily Canadian Charts

Posted on July 31, 2010 at 7:20 PM Comments comments (0)

Today (July 31, 2010) my original song, In A Second, has made #5 on the Canadian daily myspace music charts under Overall in the Pop genre. You can check out the charts here until tomorrow's charts update: http://www.myspace.com/music/charts/united-state/pop/songs/major#/canada/pop/songs

I'd like to thank everyone who's been listening to my music. My song would not be on the charts at all if you hadn't taken the time to listen to music.
